Nhien Hsu's Obituary
Mr. Nhien Hsu of Redwood City passed away peacefully at home on June 15th, 2017, at age of 83.He was born on August 9th, 1933 in Cambodia. His ancestors were from GuangDong Province, JieYang County, BaiShi New Town, China. He was married to Trinh Suen when he was nineteen years old. Together, they have five surviving children.Despite his limited education, he self-taught himself the Chinese literature and had good Chinese handwriting through diligent practices. His great respect to the Chinese culture had significantly influenced all of his children, especially to learn read and write Chinese well. He had been a delivery driver for many years in the food industry before he retired. He enjoyed reading Chinese newspapers, cooking Chinese food during holidays, and spending time with family on weekends playing poker games.Mr. Hsu is survived by his wife, five children, two daughters in-law, three sons in-law, eight grandchildren, two siblings, and many nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends.A Viewing/Visitation will be held on June 27, 2017 from 1pm to 5pm at Skylawn Funeral Home. The Memorial/Funeral Services will be held on June 28, 2017 from 09:30am to 11:45pm at Skylawn Funeral Home/Cemetery. Funeral reception will be followed, from noon to 2pm, at ABC Seafood Restaurant (973 E Hillsdale Blvd, Foster City, CA 94404).
