Nate was the little brother I never knew I wanted. His brother Shawn missed his baby brother, our daughter Lucia misses her Uncle Nate...the entire Miyaki family misses him dearly. We hope he was met by his loving father Jerry and devoted mother Patricia. Tragically, he was recently joined by his brother Mike. We live with their memories and the emptiness thier passings left forever imprinted on our hearts.
I lived down the street from Nate, hanging out at his house, with his brothers, his white egg car, football, and when he dreamed of being an athletic sports trainer for the NFL. I'll never forget you!

In geometry class cement himself as one of my most admired and liked friends. I am convinced that I will never laugh as hard or often as that one semesters (year?) worth of class. Now, I wish I would have mentioned it to him. Laughter, to me, is such a special thing, and it’s not common that I find people funny but Nate had my number as far as that went. Nobody in my life made me laugh as hard as he did. I couldn’t hold it in and I’d have tears streaming down my face on a daily basis from some Saturday Night Live skit we were talking about….Schmidt’s Gay comes to mind. The word “faaaaantastic” as used in a snl malt liquor commercial parody….. we were always saying it, I still do to this day. “FAAAAANTASTIC!!!!” especially when bad news came up…..or good news whatever. Even simple stuff like that but when Nate did it it just came off beautifully. He had this way; this enthusiasm, and of course his laugh was one of those infectious ones that that made you laugh too.. He (ok we) would sometimes come up with these classic nicknames for our friends, classmates and others. Hilarious ones. Not even our good friends were safe. We’d just sit there and go back and forth commenting….The guy was so smart; he still earned A’s and did all his homework effortlessly, it seemed. While I struggled and had to re-take it in summer school. But yeah…if I ever had a kid, I would want him to be like Nate. I admired him more than he knew I think. He was a gifted athlete, with a keen mind, and a comedian’s sense of humor. Yet was one of the most humble too, and I am so grateful to him; simply for gifting me with a lifetime of laughs compacted into one class for one semester. Nate was one of the good guys, lived the right way:. Thank you so much Nate, I’m grateful! It may not sound like much but to me those were some of the best times of my life, believe it or not. I remember his prank calls to Gin Wan back in the day. “Cheeseburger no cheese.” I will never forget going to see the hulk hogan movie and going to the lake with your family. The endless hours of practice through the years. Love you brother❤️#44❤️
I remember him wearing a parka like jacket and with the retro Philadelphia Eagles coat. We always talked about the Eagles and Randall Cunningham. Great memories and a great loss for me as well.
Nate was a gentleman, scholar, and great athlete. He lived to compete. He was a joy to coach and one of the Great kids to be a Cougar.
RIP Nate. We loved you!
He loved The Eagles, family and fitness. His kind spirit and soul will never be forgotten. ❤️
