Monica Clare Mele Kainapau Neves Long's Obituary
Monica Clare Mele Kainapau Neves Long was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 18, 1936. She was the first daughter of Manuel and Agnes Neves. She moved to San Francisco in 1946 with her parents and 6 siblings. She was 10 years old.
Monica married George Pangan in 1954, together they had 6 children. In 1978 she married James Long and together they had 3 children. James Long had 5 children from his previous marriage to Margie, making a total of 14 children that grew her family into several generations.
In her last days, well loved and surrounded by family and friends, she passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17th, 2021.
She is survived by her children & their spouses; Desiree, Tony, Brian, Felicia (Paul Watson) George (Tua), Monica (Paul F.) Jeanine (Brian Tuohy), Rosalind (Frank Coates) Monique (Corey). Also, 18 grandchildren & 18 Great-grandchildren. 11 of her 15 brothers & sisters, in-laws and many many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
