Molina, Esther's Obituary
On February 20, 1936 Esther Molina was born in Tumbiscatio Michoacán, Mexico. Her father was Modesto Ríos Valencia and her mother Antonia Cuevas Ambriz. Esther Molina had five brothers Leonor, Manuela, Alfonso, Fausto and Gil. The first years of her life she was with them in Michoacán. In 1955 she married Carmelo Molina and as time passed, God granted them 13 children: Ana María (RIP), Carmelo, Javier, Jorge, Irma, Angélica, Alfonso , Juan, Verónica, Moisés, Hilda, Luz Morena and Daniel. In 1981 she had the opportunity to come to the United States with her family in search of new opportunities. She traveled from Arteaga, Michoacán with Carmelo and their 6 children while pregnant with another, Daniel Molina. Life was difficult and she spent more than ten years working at night in the Modesto cannery’s during the tomato season. Over time she had many opportunities such as buying her house. Part of those blessings had to do with her effort to study for citizenship despite all her responsibilities as a wife, mother, and grandmother. In 1991 she achieved her goal and became a citizen of the USA. But her greatest blessing was when she devoted her life to God. On January 13, 1991 she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the First Apostolic Church in Modesto, California. She served under the pastorate of Bishop Martin Amador. No matter where Esther was, her smile and her ability to be friendly was inevitable. She was the focus of happiness and joys at parties. Her sense of humor was contagious. Esther had 13 children, 35 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and, 3 more will soon be born. The legacy of Esther continues. In her last days all her children were at her side demonstrating that the love between them was pure and eternal. God finally called her to His side on September 4, 2018 while she rested in bed. Today she is survived by all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the exception of her first daughter Ana María who preceded her in death.
