Mohammad M. Nafissi's Obituary
Mohammad Nafissi died peacefully on December 25th at the age of 77. Mohammad is survived by his wife, Iran, his children: Anoosheh, Ladan and Kaveh and his grandchildren: Adrian, Chloe and Mia.Mohammad was born on April 3rd 1937 in Tehran, Iran to Karim and Mansooreh Nafissi. He graduated from Imperial College of London in 1974 with a doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He passionately taught for many years at Tehran Polytechnic University and was the head of Mechanics and Material Department. He was also a Director at IDRO (Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran). Once in the US, he worked as a real estate residential appraiser for over 25 years.He was a kind, gentle, patient and a driven father who encouraged his children to pursue their goals and always love one another. He was a loving and supportive husband who expressed his true love each and every day. He was a fun and caring grandfather who loved playing games and telling stories to his grandchildren. He was a dedicated and committed friend who cherished each and every moment he shared with those around him. He experienced the true meaning of life by helping others feel fulfilled and living through their happiness.He was passionate about teaching, poetry, reading and learning. He was an active and dedicated member of the Palo Alto Masonic Temple and actively contributed to various charities. He left us all as a true champion and fighter, fighting Parkinson’s for years without giving up and letting it impair his big heart, his smile and his passion for living . A funeral is scheduled for January 2, 2015 at Skylawn Memorial, with a reception to follow at Skylawn Memorial.All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mohammad’s life.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through the Michael J.
