Michael (Miljenko) Joncich was born March 3, 1931 in BiÅ¡evo, Croatia to Simon Joncic and Mare Jurevic Joncic, the second of four children. Mike was raised in KomiÃ?¾a, Croatia before immigrating to the United States in 1955.After settling in California, Mike became a Master Journeyman Carpenter, and completed many large projects all over the Bay Area.The greatest joys of Mike's life were his wife Ursula, his daughters, Linda and Angela, and his grandson, Stephen. When Mike remarried in 1995, he gained many more extended family members. Mike and Ursula had a very strong bond and spent all of their time together. Mike traveled to Croatia and Germany numerous times over the past 16 years. Mike loved many simple things in life. He enjoyed gardening, barbequing, and spending time with friends and family. He always made sure that everyone had a full glass of wine. Mike is a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Church in Burlingame.He was preceded in death by his brother, Vinko; his sister Dragica; and his parents, Simon and Mare.Mike is survived by his wife, Ursula; children: Linda of Fresno, CA and Angela, of San Jose, CA; grandson: Stephen Michael of San Jose, CA; brother: Vladimir of San Mateo and sister-in-law, Marica of Split, Croatia.
