Hello Brewer Family,
I am a friend of Kevin and Deanna Murphy's. I've run into you at John Murphy's plays and when we had breakfast with Michael at Hobee's on Christmas Eve. I also saw one of Sammi's dance recitals. I posted a picture here of Michael where he was at a Pirate party for John about 20 years ago. He was, of course, glad to come as a pirate and he made a great one. We took some pictures with masks which is why he is a pirate clown.
A good memory of the Hobee's breakfast was him being stopped on the way out by a Mother whose little girl had seen him and was all excited. Michael stopped to have his picture taken with her and all the staff of Hobees's were watching because it was so cute. Then he waved to everyone and boomed out a big "Merry Christmas!"
I'm glad you are having people wear tie dye or bandannas. One of the things I will think of about Michael was how he could pull off some really great outfits. And, as someone who is always a little cold, I was always amazed that he would wear shorts in the coldest weather.
I have been avoiding crowds since I am in contact with some people who are immune compromised. But I will be watching the live stream.
I'm thinking of you and hoping things go as well as they can during this time.
Love,
Jim Johnson
Mike and I were neighbors but said we were roommates for about 5 years in San Mateo. My heart broke when I heard of his passing. Love him to bits. Thanks for including those of us who cannot attend. God bless all of you.

I met Michael at a support group. He was one of the kindest people I’ve known. We shared our love of movies and attended my yearly Oscar party several times. I will miss his warm personality, smile and sense of humor.
Mike was a great person and friend.
Mike worked for us driving a truck. And always had a smile on his face..
When he married he was so happy and proud of Dale and then becoming a grandfather. He will be missed

I met Michael when we worked together at Danzas. I kept thinking how can someone be so happy all the time. The first time he met my ex-wife she had too much to drink and deposited it in his tye died shirt. Still happy. Some people think Michael made a good Santa. No. He WAS Santa. He was Santa to all my family and to everyone he met. Christmas will never be the same without Mike. I love him for all he was and will forever be. The day after he passed I was in WalMart and I saw a Santa shirt that said Don't Stop Believing. I cried. I will never stop believing in Michael McNamara
From the time our son John was young, we had Christmas Eve breakfast with Michael and, while she was still with us, his beloved Shay. All the children in the restaurant would look at Michael and wonder if they were in the presence of Santa Claus. When Michael laughed, they knew Santa was having breakfast with them, and hoping he got home in time to deliver their presents. And every New Year’s Eve we enjoyed pizza and a movie with Shay and Michael. His smile warmed our hearts and his laugh was contagious. He will forever be in our hearts.
To Dale and family, may your memories keep Michael with you always.
