Iris,Al,Diana,david and i wanted to extend our sincere condolences for your loss with your mother, grandmother, mother-in-law. i had the brief opportunity to meet your mother at my mother’s ( Vera Meinke) in Mobile, Ala. I did not spend much time and am notorious for not being in active communication.We have had the great pleasure of visiting with Iris, Al and Diana and in the late, late past with Evert. To me she will always be Mevrouw Meinke; was never able to get passed the Mevrouw.It’s been an amazing 50 years since our families first met and we have all had our own journeys with Mary. I will always remember her kindness, generosity and concern for myself and all the friends that came into her life. I know her as an athlete, a chef, a seamstress and so much more. She will be missed dearly, but in my heart I know we will all see each other again. There will always be a special place in my heart for her. Iris and family: My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. It is wonderful that your Mother was able to stay in her home during her illness with her family and friends gathered around. I am sure this brought peace to her to be home when she passed.
