Mary Jo Johnson's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Jo Johnson, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us peacefully on December 14, 2024, at the age of 63. Her husband Robert Johnson was right by her side. Upon passing, she resided with Robert and their adored dog Benny in El Dorado Hills, California.
Mary Jo was born on May 15, 1961, in Burlingame, California, to parents Richard and Rosemary Lancaster. She enjoyed her childhood growing up in San Mateo, California with her three siblings, Rick, Kathleen, and Tommy. In her adult life, Mary Jo was introduced to the love of her life Robert by a good mutual friend. They began their relationship, eventually got married, and started building a family. They were blessed with four daughters, Carli, Jaimee, Haley, and Brittanie that they also raised in San Mateo. Mary Jo was a devoted wife to Robert for 38 years. As a mother, she cared for her daughters with unwavering love. As a grandmother, she found immeasurable joy in the company of her six grandchildren, Maddison, Vera, Logan, Zayden, Zara, and Leila. Mary Jo had a great sense of humor and was known for her laughter, charm, and playfulness. She always loved going to Disneyland with her loved ones throughout her life. Mary Jo touched the lives of all who knew her, and she is missed dearly. Her memory and her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband, four daughters, two brothers and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister. An inurnment will take place to lay her to rest at Skylawn Memorial Park in Half Moon Bay, California on May 19, 2025, at 1:00pm.
