Mary Laverne Conway's Obituary
Mary LaVerne Conway born: 2-2-30 died: 12-7-11 Mary passed away peacefully at Cedar Lane assisted living facility in Montara Calif, at the age of 81. She was a loving mother and wife. She was a native Californian born in Richmond and raised in San Francisco, by her late Aunt Claire and Uncle Neil Lyons. She is a class of 1948 graduate of St. Vincent high school. Married on October 17 1953, to the late Patrick A. Conway. Mother to James P. Conway(Belmont), and Neil A. Conway (Pacifica). Resident of Pacifica for 56 yrs. Survived by cousins, and many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors for 42yrs Bob and Barbara Morrow, and her grand dogs, Montara, Maverick, and Phantom. She had a fulfilled life, enjoyed friends and family, holidays and parties, and was a good singer in her day! Enjoyed cooking the fish Pat and Neil brought home, her sundeck BBQs, watching the winning seasons of the 49ers in the 80s, and was happy the Giants finally won the World Series. A big thank you to my loving wife Sue for the many days spent with her mother in law during needed times, and to CedarLane, and Sutter Care Hospice for making her final days as comfortable as possible. A private memorial was held at Skylawn Memorial on Dec 15. Both Patrick and Mary's ashes will be scattered at sea. Both will be missed dearly. May they rest in peace.
