Name: Martin Lee Simon, Jr. a.k.a. Boobie – Age at Death: 34 Residence: East Palo Alto Day and Date of Death: Friday, April 10, 2015. Cause of Death: Victim of a Violent CrimeMartin was born on January 27, 1981, in Redwood City, CA to Martin Simon and Saundra Stamps. He was his mother’s only child. Martin attended Sequoia High School and later received his G.E.D. Martin also attended City College of San Francisco.He was known as Martin Jr., Man, Boobie Smooth, Boob Laden and Da General. His Uncle Calvin affectionately called him “Grand Poobah” and his grandmother Teresa often asked him if he thought he was President Truman’s child. To the rest of his family and close friends he was “Boobie” or “Boob”.Martin would say that his greatest accomplishment was fathering his children and doing what he could to assist others in need. Martin had a great sense of humor and you could not help but laugh while in his presence. If you thought about something he previously said or did you most likely end up smiling or laughing to yourself. He had a bright smile and a loving heart that will be missed by people of all ages, nationality, educational and economical backgrounds. He loved different genres of music and would often sing in the shower or while performing household chores. He enjoyed dressing and everything had to be color coordinate, clean and pressed. He wasn’t a cook – but he sure loved to eat.Martin fell asleep in death on Friday, April 10, 2015. He expressed hope in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29).Preceding Martin in death are his favorite Aunt, Patricia Simon, his favorite uncle, Calvin “Snake” Simon, uncles Donald Ray, Larry and Terry Simon; grandfathers, Edward Simon and Simuel Melvin Stamps.Martin leaves to cherish his memory, his three children whom he loved dearly, spoke of constantly and created daily pictorial and video journals: Mekhi Cadellrel-De’Val Blackmon, Markhi Simuel Edward Simon and Malakhi Christopher Simon. Martin loved kids and he had a close bond with young cousins Darrell and Milan Page, Tonisha Harrison, Da’Mya Henderson, and the children of his dear friend Joseph “Little Daddy” Flood – Kamara “lady” and Joseph Flood, Jr.He leaves behind his loving parents, Saundra Stamps, Martin Lee Simon Sr. and Le Kiticia Simon; his dear grandmothers, Shirley Stamps and Teresa Simon and his only sibling, Martel Simon; Aunts, Shirmel Deckard, Crystal Stamps, Carol Ridgeway, Rose Schofield, Peggy Williams (Charles) and Jackie Simon (Andre), Uncles; Keith Stamps Sr. and Eddie Simon and six dear great aunts. Martin dearly loved his multitude of cousins and shared a special bond with Ray Lockett, Iesha Golson, Dreyana and Divontay Gibson, Tenisha and Tanya Moss, Sadio Simon, Mikel, Anthony, and Keith Stamps, Jr., Tyrell Smith, Andrew Simmons, John Schofield, Durell and Darrian Lewis, Gianni Jackson and Courtney Deckard, as well as a host of other relatives. Martin was privileged to not only have friends but true brothers, Ray Earl Webb, Jr., Jonathan Lydell Damon, Jr. and Alan Lachan.1 Corinthians 15:26 “And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”The Stamps and Simon families would like to express sincere thanks for your visits with, scriptural encouragement, prayers, cards, flowers, phone calls, text messages, gifts and meals.
