Marthene Swistak's Obituary
Marthene A. Swistak passed away peacefully August 23, 2008 and joined her husband Michael Swistak who died in February 1993. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana and moved to Walnut Creek when she was a young teenager. . Marthene and Michael had a wonderful life together. Every Saturday evening they went dancing. They traveled, always by car, no destination was too far as Mike loved to drive and Marthene loved to ride. Both avid dogs lovers; they were always accompanied by one of their beloved pets. They lived in the house that Mike built in Cupertino. Marthene enjoyed gardening, frequently teased by Mike for all the 'stinkweeds' she lovingly planted in their garden. They shared 29 wonderful years together making their house a warm inviting home for many family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by son Aris Partidos, (Nancy) of Columbia, Ca, daughter Pamela Stogner (Dennis) of Danville, Ca and son James Partidos, her grandchildren Alicia Samples, Melanie Humphreys, Jason Kidd, and Laura Willett, great grandchildren Lauren, Rachel, and Sabrina Beck. She will also be missed by Donna Madge who began as a volunteer visitor through Caring hands but soon became a very dear friend that shared many happy times together. Marthene was predeceased by her daughter Penny Popovich-Guzzetta (her Pennies from Heaven) in 2002, brother Dallas Graham Jr. in 1966, and granddaughter Lisa Beck in 2007. Inurnment will be next to her husband at Skylawn Memorial Park on September 17th at 1:00PM.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caring Hands.
