Martha Irene Mize's Obituary
Martha (Chink) Irene Mize passed away at home on May 25, 2010, at the age of 89. Forever a true Southern Belle, Martha was born November 2, 1920, in LaFayette, Georgia, the second youngest of ten children. On July 4, 1941, she wed James Eugene (Gene) Mize to whom she was married for 55 years. They moved west to San Francisco in 1946 and later moved to South San Francisco. Together they happily built a successful painting business, raised a family, and traveled the world.Martha is survived by her daughter, Terry Ann Hesselroth, son-in-law Richard Hesselroth, grandchildren Rebecca Russell (Bob) and Paul Hesselroth (Stephanie) and great-grandchildren Jonathon and Allison Russell, and Audriannah, Jordynne and Eva Hesselroth. Martha lived every minute of her life on her own terms. We lost her on May 25, 2010, but her spirit, memory, lessons, and love will always be with us.A memorial service will be held at West Portal Lutheran Church in San Francisco on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 1:00 pm.
