Marilyn Kenney's Obituary
Marilyn Kenney was reunited with her loving husband Don Kenney, on May 1, 2014 in their home surrounded by the love of family. Marilyn was born to Lester and Jean Rose Burkhart in San Francisco on May 15, 1929. Marilyn was the beloved sister to Robert Burkhart and Raymond Wilson. Marilyn was a painter, published poet, and musician. During World War II as part of the war effort, Marilyn performed in the USO, singing and playing her saxophone, entertaining and bringing a sense of home to the troops. Marilyn married Don Kenney, decorated World War II Navy Veteran, on May 5, 1950. Marilyn and Don enjoyed a lifetime of love and happiness. Marilyn is the loving mother to four children, Steve Kenney, Colleen Kenney, Dale Kenney, Karen McGill and her husband Terry McGill. Marilyn is dearly loved by her children, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren,nieces, nephews and friends.Services in honor of Mrs. Kenney will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, San Mateo, CA on Thursday May 8, 2014.
