Mariana Perez August 15, 1923 – June 1, 2019Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, friend.Mariana was born in a small town in Texas, to a farming family. Mariana worked hard, picking cotton and helping her dad plow the fields. Even though she worked on the farm, she still managed to attend school and graduated high school. They raised five children, Paula, Jeannie, Robert, Ray Jr. and JoAnne. They had 14 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.Mariana was known as a great cook, who could set a table full of delicious food for many people at a moments notice. She loved sewing, crocheting, and would never pass up a good garage sale. She also loved to garden and could take a snip of a plant and turn it into a tree! She was very proud of her 25 year career at GTE Lenkurt, making parts for the telephone company. It meant a great deal to both Mariana and Ray to work very hard and be able to provide a good home, in a good neighborhood for their family, which they certainly did.Mariana and Raymond were married 70 years and created a wonderful life together. R.I.P. beautiful lady, you are dearly loved.
