Marian Lazzari's Obituary
Marian Lazzari passed away peacefully on February 17th surrounded by loved ones in San Mateo.She was born in San Francisco on April 25, 1925 to Rudolph and Mildred Hansen. She married Gilbert Lazzari on December 30, 1948. She attended San Mateo High School, the University of the Pacific, and earned her BS from University of California at Berkeley. She worked for many years as an accountant for the local theater hands union.Marian grew up in San Mateo and moved to South San Francisco as a newlywed. In 1961 she and her family moved to Montara. She retired to Northern California with her husband and returned to San Mateo for her final years with her loving daughter (Cathy) and son-in-law (Mel).She is survived by her son Gilbert (Dixie) of Redding and daughters Penny Thompson of San Mateo, Cathy Firkins-Roberts (Mel) of San Mateo, Margaret Critzer (David) of Mountain View, and Jennifer of Sacramento; by her grandchildren William, Mary, Clinton, Dustin, David, and Alexis; and by her loving Italian Greyhound, Roxy. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21 at Skylawn Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at Saint Matthews in San Mateo on Wednesday, February 22nd at 9:00 am, followed by a private interment at Skylawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to American Cancer Society.
