Aguirre Alvarenga, Maria de Los angeles' Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Maria de Los Angeles Aguirre Alvarenga
August 4th, 1953 – September 22nd, 2025
We, Evelyn and Mayra, hold close the gentle voice and easy laugh of our mom, Maria de Los Angeles Aguirre Alvarenga. She filled every day with a sweetness that never asked for praise, only a place in our hearts.
Mom was born on August 4th, 1953, in El Salvador, and the warmth of her homeland stayed with her. Even after settling in new places, she kept the simple rhythms of Salvadoran life alive in our kitchen.
Kindness, empathy, and patience guided every choice she made. Anyone who spent even a short time with her felt seen, heard, and lifted.
Some of our happiest moments were spent side-by-side making pupusas. She let us shape the dough, laugh at our crooked edges, and believe that food tastes best when mixed with love.
Mom passed on September 22nd, 2025, in Redwood City. Though the house feels quieter now, her steady comfort lingers in the smells, sounds, and stories we still share.
We will keep making pupusas and leading with the gentleness she modeled. Thank you, Mom, for every patient lesson and for loving us so well; we will carry you forward, always.
