Marguerite Renee Ford's Obituary
Margurite (Margo) Ford age 97 passed away at her home in Redwood City on Thursday 03/23/17.She was born in New York on 01/16/1920.As an adult she and husband Herbert worked hard to realize their dreams of raising a family and building their dream home in Amador County.Margo retired from Varian in Palo Alto after 3 decades and then went to work for the San Mateo commission on aging in her 70’s as she was never one to sit still.Margo loved to garden especially her roses, enjoyed cooking and entertaining and traveling the country. Her trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in her early 80’s surprised us all. She had a blast!Margo carried her bag of knitting with her every where she went as she was always busy knitting the baby blankets and hats for the newborns in both Redwood City Hospitals and Amador County Hospitals.She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Nadine & Joe Hounihan of Salem, Or. Her Grandchildren: Barbara Ford Gillette, Jennifer Carver and Brenda Sue Breece ,Her Great Grand Children: Daniel Gillette, Andrew Carver, Benjamin Stone, Ashley Eisenhauer, Ashley Carpenter Great-Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh Carver, Andrew Carver Jr., Layla Sue Eisenhauer. Proceeded in death by: Spouse Herbert (Jack) Ford in 1989 And Sons, George Stefopoulos in 1972; John Ford in 2003.Services to be held at SkyLawn Memorial Park in San Mateo on Friday March 31,2017 at 10:30.
