Margaret Hwee's Obituary
The year was 1938, which was the Year of the Tiger, God sent to Earth an Angel in the human form of Margaret Hwee, who would later become an exceptionally wonderful mother of four children, whom she nurtured to become successful adults and then parents themselves, and cared for seven adorably intelligent seven grandchildren. After an arduous 78-years journey on Earth, God took Margaret, my selfless mom who gave me, her eldest child, and my siblings unconditional love, to Heaven in early April of 2017.Like a tigress, our mom forged through life with her indomitable, steely fortitude and will to overcome innumerable obstacles all around her so that her children and grandchildren would have a better life and become better people and world citizens. Mom bestowed upon us never ending love, kindness, and generosity, and she maintained her humility throughout her life. Mom worked tirelessly at home and at work to improve our lives. Mom truly was amazing and inspirational as a person, mother and grandmother.Mom entered Earth in what is now known as Yangon, Myanmar. She then immigrated to the United States with her husband Chark and their four children with the generous help of her husband’s childhood friend, whom we call “uncle Thomas” and, without his sponsorship, our mom’s already hard-life would have only gotten worse. We owe our mom the deepest gratitude and to the ever jovial and wonderful uncle Thomas.Mom always gave everyone genuine and beautiful smiles. Everyone who received mom’s smiles felt warmer and happier. Mom continued to smile even after she suffered a stroke that accelerated her then early stage of Alzheimer’s disease. Mom enjoyed every moment with her seven grandchildren; every one of them made mom one of the proudest and happiest grandma on Earth.Mom went with God to Heaven in peace and left her husband Chark, children and grandchildren in peace with loving memories. We shall cherish those loving memories forever. We know mom will continue to watch over us and provide us with protection, guidance, and wisdom from Heaven. Her husband Chark, children, grandchildren and future progenies shall strive to make mom proud, happy and be at peace wherever she is. We shall all miss our dearest mom and grandma tremendously and she will remain in our hearts forever.May God watch over all of us also. Please accept my family’s deepest gratitude for being a part of our mom’s life on Earth and for wishing her the very best after her departure for Heaven.Love,Phil Hwee for the Hwee Family
