Maggie Yin Wan Leong's Obituary
Maggie Yin Wan Leong, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Pacific Heights Transitional Care Center in San Francisco.
Born on September 22, 1937, in Hong Kong, Maggie dedicated her life to raising her family, being a devout Christian, and showing kindness and generosity to everyone around her. She graduated high school in Hong Kong and worked to help her father's business. On June 25, 1968, she married her beloved husband, Eli, and together they immigrated to the United States, where she embraced her new roles as a wife and mother. Maggie worked in retail at Macy's for over 18 years before retiring.
Maggie enjoyed crafting, tai chi, line dance, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She had a passion for flowers and gardening, and she cherished the time spent with her eight grandchildren, watching them grow and thrive.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband, Eli; her son Andrew, his wife Lai-King, and their children Lauryn, Andrew Junior, Brian, and Madelyn; her oldest daughter Cindy, her husband Wilson, and their children Joshua and Mikayla; and her second daughter Sandy, her husband Tim, and their children Nathan and Landon.
Maggie is also survived by her siblings: #3 Lee King Wan (sister), #6 Lee Wai Chung (brother), #7 Lee Wai Lung (brother), #9 Lee Wai Hong (Raymond) (brother), #10 Lee Wai Ning (brother), and #11 Lee Wai Cheong (brother). She was predeceased by her sister, #2 Lee Yuk Wan.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Maggie's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Flowers can be sent to Skylawn Funeral Home, or donations can be made to Cindy Ng, 1773 14th Ave., San Francisco, CA 94122.
Maggie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
