Luis Cazzali Lavarreda's Obituary
Our beloved father Luis F. Cazzali Lavarreda passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. His life was defined by passion, creativity, and an unwavering love for his children, grandchildren, family, and soccer.
After moving from Guatemala seeking greater opportunities in the United States, he used his resourcefulness and independence to carve out his own path. He built a living with his hands and ingenuity, undertaking many business ventures. Between selling shoes, jewelry, boots, and painting homes, he always took pride in honest work and in the freedom of being his own boss, always finding ways to adapt and create.
He was unimpressed with extravagance and chose a life grounded in meaning rather than material items. He had a deep appreciation for life’s simplest joys: spending time with family, laughter around a table, a good political debate at McDonalds, and the comfort of being together. He was happiest in those moments.
Above all, he will be remembered for his laughter—easy, genuine and contagious. His laughter would turn an ordinary or difficult day into something much brighter.
He leaves a legacy of resilience, resourcefulness, generosity, and love. He will always be a reminder that a rich life is measured not in possessions but in the lives we touch and the joy we share.
He is survived by his children Luis A. Cazzali, Veronica Cazzali, and Vanessa Cazzali; and his grandchildren Silas Silva, Anayssa Garcia, Alyssa Cazzali, Venecia Grenado, and Deeanna Haines. He is preceded in death by his grandson Luis Cesar Cazzali.
