It is with great sadness we share the passing of our dear sister, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, Luella Makrevis. She passed away peacefully at Mills Estate Villa in Burlingame, California on March 13, 2020.
Luella was born on December 31, 1935 to her parents Reinhold and Christina Gebhardt in Marsh, Montana. She married Glenn Morast and a few years later they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her three children, Grant (Laurie) Morast, Gea (Eddy) Thompson, and Garrin Morast. Luella has six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her brother, Delvin (Bonnie) Gebhardt and her sisters, Darlene (Gary) Stanton and Diane (Bill) Lee. Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Geb Gebhardt.
Luella was incredibly smart, earning a Real Estate License and an Associate's Degree in Accounting and spending most of her life working as a professional bookkeeper. She was a very humble, but extremely gifted artist. Luella particularly enjoyed painting with oils and her pieces remain treasures in the homes of many of her family and friends. Whatever she was doing, she gave it her all!
After retiring and moving to California, Luella was a nanny for sixteen years. She and Bud Makrevis were married in 1997 and enjoyed many years of traveling the world. They enjoyed many adventures with her siblings and countless friends, including two of her besties, Carmelita Lija and Linda Berrios. Luella will be forever remembered for her unconditional love and unique bonds with her family and friends!
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too
I think of you in silence; I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part
God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart
What’s your fondest memory of Luella?
What’s a lesson you learned from Luella?
