Lucila A. Peralta's Obituary
Lucila A. Peralta, aged 93, of Fairfield, CA died in the comfort of her home on April 11, 2014 of natural causes.She was born in the Philippines on January 21, 1921, to Emeliano and Nicolasa Apas. On September 9, 1945 she was married to her lifelong husband, Felix Peralta, whom preceded her in death. They enjoyed their lives experiencing many adventures, including moving to the United States with their children in 1963.A military spouse, Lucila was a nurturing homemaker. She was also an exceptional cook. Her grandchildren refer to her as “Mama,” will always remember her fried rice and infamous “Nobody” bread. Mama always made certain her children, grandchildren and other family members had hearty meals.Lucila is survived by her sister: Tibay (Philippines); children: Jose (Angelita), Arminda Nocon (Renato – Passed away), Antonio (Edna), Alex; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Joyce), Johann (Maribel), Ronald (Brenda), Jason (Rama), Eric (Tammy), Aimee (Christopher), Shane (Christine), Adrian, Allyson, Trevor) and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 8 brothers and sisters and son-in-law.Services will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Thursday April 17th, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, April 18th, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, and Saturday April 19th, 2014 for a 12:00pm committal service.
