In Loving Memory of Lizandro Ignacio Carmelino
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lizandro Ignacio Carmelino, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many. Lizandro, born to Agusto and Elena Carmelino, left this world on 1/26/2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Lizandro's journey began on 2/1/1932 in Lima, Peru. In 1957, he embarked on a life-changing adventure, immigrating to Los Angeles, where he soon found his calling at United Airlines. In 1959, he moved to San Francisco to pursue a mechanic position at United Airlines, a career that spanned an impressive 35 years. His dedication and passion for his work made him a respected figure within the aviation community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lizandro was a devoted family man. In 1974, he achieved the dream of homeownership, providing a stable and loving environment for his family. Lizandro's greatest joy was his family, and his legacy lives on through the love and unity he instilled in each member.
In 1977, Lizandro fulfilled his American dream by becoming a proud United States citizen, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his new homeland, while still always loving and honoring his old homeland and traditions. He embraced the values of freedom, opportunity, and the pursuit of happiness.
Lizandro is survived by his loving wife, Carmen 'Letty' Carmelino, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. His children, Maritza(Amjad) and Abraham, carry on his legacy of hard work and family values. The joy of his life extended to his grandchildren: Bianca, Nicholas, Margarett, Denae, Ycela, Isaak, Abehl, and Paloma. Each grandchild was a source of pride and happiness for Lizandro, and he cherished the moments spent with them.
A man of quiet strength, Lizandro touched the hearts of all who knew him. His kindness, wisdom, and love for family will be remembered and cherished by those fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
A celebration of Lizandro's life will be held where family and friends will come together to share memories, find solace, and celebrate the remarkable life of a truly extraordinary man. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
