Cherie Lin
My sister. Saying those words alone brings a flood of memories, love, and now, profound sorrow.
She wasn't just my sister; she was my friend. We shared a bond forged in childhood laughter, teenage secrets, and the unwavering support only siblings can truly understand. She knew me in a way no one else ever could.
Liyan had a spirit that was uniquely her own - infectiously joyful, incredibly strong. She touched everyone she met with her warm smile, quiet kindness.
The memories we hold are treasures: I remember that only me and her, we took Green train to Beijing when I was around 7 years old and she just about 10-11years old, she take care off me all the way; We had girls talk overnight after she finished her “Gaokao”. She ask me if she can accept my sister in law’s court.
These moments are etched in our hearts forever.
Her absence leaves a void that feels impossible to fill. The world feels quieter, dimmer without her vibrant presence. But her love, her laughter, her strength – these are not gone. They live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her, in the lessons she taught us, and in the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Rest gently now, my dear sister. Thank you for your love, your light, and the irreplaceable gift of being your sibling. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Until we meet again.
