Tom Cady
Lisa Moody and I first met at an interview for Behavioral Tech job at the IRI. I broke down and started crying at the first interview and thought I had blown it. She hired me anyway and my journey began in alcohol rehabilitation myself. She wrote the most beautiful tribute in the forward in my book SCARED GREAT. She gave me free rein and said over and over THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER. I owe her a great deal by watching the way she totally accepted everyone with big hugs. I thought the men enjoyed it too much, but that is how she rolled. I am glad that I visited her at the Scottsdale facility the last time I was in town. She was an inspiration to me and I shall forever remember her in my heart. She was the most accepting and non judgmental person I had every met. I had an incident with a patient once and she gathered everyone in the meeting room and she addressed it head on and made us both see we were so much alike that caused the friction. I loved her gentle ways and the laugh she had. She truly was too wonderful to be true and one of a kind. She was a huge fan of Rapid Eye Movement. She was brilliant and thought quick on her feet. Her office was also crowded with those who wanted to hear her and to be near her. She had a sort of magnetism that drew others to her. She was the most giving and unselfish person I shall ever meet this side of heaven. What a tragedy to die that young with her music still in her.
Love forever,
Tom Cady
