Linda Caryol Walley's Obituary
Beautician extraordinaire and forward thinking creator, Linda Walley's love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. She passed away suddenly in her sleep on February 21, 2021 at the age of 64, after living life on her terms. Linda was always surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their best lives.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Linda. She absolutely loved making people laugh and creating a space for her to be the center of attention, no matter where she was. She had the uncanny ability to try and find happiness in all situations. Linda's contagious personality drew many people close to her, regardless of her state of mind, at any given moment. At least three times a day, Linda enjoyed singing and talking on the phone with her children and family members. In her idle time she thought of things she can create. She was a true firecracker, and wherever she went, it was going to be a memorable experience for all.
Linda Walley was a very spiritual person and accepted Christ as a child in her hometown of Knobtown, Mississippi.
For the past seven years and up until her very last breath, she enjoyed being in a relationship with her better half, David Green of San Francisco, CA.
While Linda was in high school in Mississippi she started “courting” Clarence Grice and of this union five children were created; Myeshia Grice-Robinson (Anthony Robinson) of Tracy, CA; Hasani Grice (Ebony Walton-Grice) of Oakland, CA; Mistee Grice (Akobi Winston) of San Leandro, CA; Haji Grice of Oakland, CA and Maya Whisby (Reggie Knight) of San Francisco, CA.
Preceding her in death: her beloved parents, Margaret and Eddie Lee Walley; two sisters, Connie Walley-Magee (Booker Magee) and Ernestine Abbott; and three brothers, Clinton Smith, William Walley, and Eddie Walley; three brother-in laws, Floyd Johnson and Rufus McGlothin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, a large family which includes, six grandchildren; Aloni Winston, Timoni Williams, Khyla Winston, Rashae Loveless, Ebonique Walton and Criniya Vaughn; two brothers, James Douglas Walley (Marvin), of San Francisco, CA and Sherman Walley, of Knobtown, MS; three sisters, Mary Johnson, Girtha McGlothin and Mary Packer, all of San Francisco, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends that loved her, dearly. Linda gave us 64 amazing years of life on earth. She had a huge impact on all of our lives, and she will truly, be missed.
