LiMing Chen Hsieh's Obituary
Li Ming Hsieh passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born in 1938 in Guizhou, China, to Dr. Mu-Yu Chen and Ruilu Shao.
She moved to Taiwan with her family, where she graduated from National Cheng Kung University. Drawn by opportunity and curiosity, she journeyed to the United States to further her studies at University of Utah, starting her career in accounting. Throughout her life, Li Ming balanced family and profession, raising a loving family while building a meaningful career across cities as diverse as San Francisco, Reading, Columbus, Schenectady, and Los Angeles.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin C.B. Hsieh; their daughter, Julia B. Hsieh; five grandchildren: Timothy, Kathryn, Christopher, Alexandra, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, John C.C. Hsieh.
Li Ming will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the joy she brought to everyone through entertaining her friends and family.
