Lily Lee's Obituary
Lily Lee, aged 95, was born and reared in San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully at Westmont Assisted Living Community in Brentwood, California, on September 11, 2016, with her son Randy at her side.Lily was born on July 19, 1921 and was the fifth of five children born to Bok Won Tom and Hong Sing Yam. Lily attended Oriental Elementary, Francisco Junior High and graduated from Commerce High school. On December 9, 1945, she married her beloved husband, Elbert Sang Lee. She retired after 29 years of service from Bank of America.She traveled the world with Elbert and their lifelong friends, and thoroughly enjoyed each grandchild and great-grandchild as they were born. She will remain in our hearts forever.Lily is survived by her children, Brenda (Mark Hadler), Bernadine (Benson Wong) and Randy; her grandchildren Shelley (Kenneth Wong), Kimberley (Pete Fonseca), Aaron and Nathan Lee; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Emeline and Addison Wong, Kelsey and Maddie Lee, and Pedro Benson Fonseca and many nieces and nephews. Lily was predeceased by her husband, Elbert Sang Lee, her grandson, Matthew Randall Lee and her siblings Mew Heung, Frank Gow Yam, Fred Yam and Lucy Yam.A funeral service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo, on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 12:30 in the Crystal Springs Chapel and interred at 1pm. A memorial dinner will be held at 4:30pm at Kirin Restaurant, 6135 Geary Blvd, San Francisco.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tel-Hi Neighborhood Center—Please specify on your donation-for Tel-Hi Senior Programs, 660 Lombard Street, San Francisco, 94133 ; or to your favorite charity/foundations.
