Lillian Avelino's Obituary
Lillian resided in Bani, Pangasinan and was raised by her grandmother Maria Canna Petalver and father and Max Avelino. Lillian graduated from Western Pangasinan Lyceum high school. She attended Centro Scholar University in Manila and majored in pharmacology. Lillian settled down and married her husband, Emelio Ramirez in the Philippines in 1957. They settled in California after one year apart. As a service man, Emelio had to send for his new wife. The couple was married for over ten years. They later divorced but continued to stay in contact.Lillian worked for over 40 years with the federal government. She started in the pharmacy department and later transferred to the postal service department where she spent the majority of her working career. In her younger years, Lillian was a homemaker raising her children, she liked to cook and bake, enjoyed music and singing, and enjoyed dances. She was a happy person and was always caring for others. She liked to crochet and designed clothing and home designs. She also liked planning family gathering with all the relatives. She was fashionable always looking like a million bucks. She was the life of the party and will always be remembered for her vivacious manner. Lillian was a social person, outgoing, and friendly; she had a very young spirit that carried on to her older years. She was a loving mother, sister and friend.After the children were raised and in her later years, Lillian spent time travelling with her partner, Louis Ante', for the last 18 years. She was a free spirit who loved to travel and take cruises. She enjoyed exploring new places, meeting new friends, and eating at her special restaurants (seafood was her favorite). Occasionally her children would join her traveling excursions.Lillian's mother and father, Pefecta and Max Avelino preceded her in death.Survivors include her brother, Servilliano P (Liberty) Avelino of Atlanta, Georgia; sister Lydia (Rogelio) Purrganan of Seattle, Washington; three daughters Lily (Bill) Ramirez of Chico, California; Mae (Tim) Kaiser of Chico, California; and Terri (Eric) Tippett of Mountain View, California; two sons Emelio (Sandra) Ramirez of Daly City, California and Robert Anakin (Molly) Mc Kenna of Martinez, California.Grandsons: Manuel (Grace) Medoza; Enrique Mendoza; Fredrick Moore; Timmie Kaiser; Brandon Rodin Mc Kenna; Dylan Monet Mc Kenna; Daniel Ramirez; Dane and Jace Tippett; Michelangelo Mc Kenna. Granddaughters: Teresa Moore; Haley Ramirez; Sophia Macari. Nephews: Bill Avelino; Rogelio Jr. Purrganan; Richard Purrganan; and Angelo Purrganan. Nieces: Judy (Paul) Lawhead; Annabelle Avelino; Lila P. Chavez. As well as her beloved cats: Sam 'bam-bam' and Simon. Lillian was beloved by all and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff at Windsor El Camino Care Center and Rehabilitation (Carmichael, Ca); Kaiser Hospital (Sacramento, Ca) and Vista Hospice (Sacramento, Ca) for their support in her final days.
