Liane Rocker's Obituary
Liane Rocker a long time resident of San Mateo has passed away at age 92.
Liane was born to Angela and Felix Neuner on March 16, 1929 in Mahrisch Schonberg (now called Sumperk) in the Czech Republic. She grew up
In Austria and attended the Modeschule Hetzendorf (Fashion Institute) in Vienna, Austria.
She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and worked as an artist designing the artwork for patterns for Butterick Fabrics in New York City. While there, she met and married her husband Curt and they eventually moved to San Francisco, California.
In search of better schools and a warmer climate the family moved to San Mateo in 1973. Liane remained in her home until she passed away on May 19th.
Liane had a special gift of creativity and excelled at being a seamstress, artist, interior designer and a talented cook and baker.
She is survived by her daughters Vivian Goetz (Bill) and Susie Vick (Jim) and her four grandchildren : Julia, Victoria, Alex and Allie.
