Li Chiun Fu's Obituary
Li Chiun Fu, age 67, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by her family on August 31, 2024.
Born in 1956 to her father Youn Lien Fu and mother Shu Ching Chang, Li Chiun Fu grew up in Macau and Taiwan as the fifth oldest of seven sisters. Graduating top of her class from the National Taipei College of Nursing in 1976, Li Chiun Fu met her husband Ying Chu Leung while working in Saudi Arabia, and together immigrated to America to raise their two sons WaiHin Leung and WaiShing Leung. While she would build a full and successful life with her family in the Bay Area, Li Chiun Fu always kept her Chinese roots and heritage.
Over the course of a 42-year nursing career in Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, and the Chinese Hospital in San Francisco, Li Chiun Fu cared for countless patients, where she will be remembered for her tireless work ethic, generosity, and medical acumen.
With a tenacious personality, indomitable intelligence, and immense self-belief, Li Chiun Fu excelled in all her tasks and pursuits – and her primary devotion was always to her large extended family, here in America and abroad. Li Chiun Fu wanted nothing more than being with them: her parents, sisters & brothers-in-law, husband, sons & daughters-in-law, and her four grandchildren Avery Leung, Beverly Leung, Dylan Leung, and Wyatt Leung.
Of her pastimes, Li Chiun Fu loved most to travel, criss-crossing the globe throughout her life’s journey. She savored experiencing the different histories, cultures, lifestyles in our world, taking in many world wonders and natural wonders alike. Today, Li Chiun Fu journeys on forever, in our memories and hearts.
