More than 25 years after having him as a teacher at Paly, I still refer to things I learned in his class. Just this past week before learning of his passing, I was telling someone about the practical lessons I learned and still use. And, he made a subject I was not particularly passionate about, fun and memorable. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.
Leon was a good friend to me during my 25 years at PAly. He was a respected colleague and respected by students. The world was a better place with him in it. When we see the beauties in nature, we are reminded of eternal life and know we will see him once again in perfect health. Judy Hasselbach
