Leatrice H. Gutierres' Obituary
In Loving Memory Leatrice Gutierres passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 22,
2024, at the age of 94 years in San Bruno, CA. She was born on July 2,1930, in San
Francisco, CA. to the parents of Candida Medina and Octavia Delgado. Letty was the second
eldest of six children. Robert Delgado, Georgina Gonter, Junita Mattos, Louis Medina,
and Stewart Medina.
Letty grew up in Honolulu Hawaii where she was raised by her stepfather, John Medina. There she met her loving husband Marcellino Gary Gutierres. They married on June 24, 1950. Together they shared six beautiful children together. Andrea Colon, Anthony Gutierres, Debera Santana, Roxanne Lopez, Tracey

Leatrice was a devoted housewife, and mother to her children even though she was very
strict at times. She loved to visit relatives on the weekends or have family and friends
over for dinner or a get together. She liked to embroider, read the newspaper in the
mornings with her coffee and toast. She also liked her Harlequin romance books. She like
to cook, and to go dancing at the Puerto Rican Club when she was younger. Not to
mention her daytime soap opera.
She was very kind to lend a hand to those who needed her. She would help her Aunties
with their shopping, Dr’s appointment or to the bank. She was a loving grandmother of
seventeen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed,
but never forgotten.
