Lawrence Louie's Obituary
Lawrence Louie Oct.1, 1934 – Dec. 7, 2014 Lawrence passed away peacefully in his sleep Dec. 7, 2014 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 58 plus years. He was the loving father of Dr. Gregory Louie and Wife Queenie, Laurie Tam and Husband Clayton, Lanette Louie and grandchildren Charden, Keryna and Brandon. He is also survived by brothers, Agler Louie (Marylou) and Edmond Louie (Bobbie) and sisters Dorothy Joe (Bob) and Doris Cheu (Sherman). He was one of the original previous owners of Louies Meat Market on Main Street in Stockton along with brother Agler and Uncle George Louie. Louies Market owners are now George’s son Jayson Louie and Nephew Kirby Joe. He served proudly in the Army National Guard for a number of years in the Motor Pool Division. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on cruises. His passions were family and food, especially eating at buffets. He looked forward to family potluck gatherings every year. His religious beliefs gave him comfort in knowing that he will be joining his Dad, Mom and relatives that are now with our Lord. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will always live on with family and the countless lives he touched. Celebration of Life will be Private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Confucius Church of Stockton 212 E. Lafayette Street or to Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Avenue Stockton.
