Lawrence Look's Obituary
Dr. Lawrence Kock-Jing Look was born on December 30, 1949 in Macau, China. He was the oldest son of Chew Kee Look and Dack Fun Look. He has three younger brothers, Kock Cheong, Kevin and Henry, and a younger sister, Betty.Lawrence and his family moved to Hong Kong, where he completed high school at Man Sang College. In 1967, Lawrence left for United States to continue his education. He earned his BS Degree in Engineering at UC Berkeley in 1972. He continued his education and obtained his Dentistry Degree at Northwestern University in 1976. After earning his degree, Lawrence opened his own dental practice in 1977.Lawrence met and married his wife, Rita Wu in the 80’s, and welcomed their daughter, Chloe, in 1992. Lawrence worked hard to provide a comfortable life for his family.After a 36-year dentistry career, he retired in 2009, where he spent his retired life traveling, spending time with friends, and taking care of his family. He went on cruises with his parents and visited various parts of Europe, China and Hong Kong with his family, brothers and sister and friends.Lawrence was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He always put his family’s needs before his.On November 22, 2013, Lawrence passed away peacefully. He is survived by his wife Rita and their daughter Chloe.
