Lawrence Gana's Obituary
Lawrence (Larry) Hunt Gaña, was born July 15, 1961 in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite, Philippines to his father Severino Gaña and mother Zenaida Gaña. Larry passed at the age of 58 on November 14, 2019. Larry was the youngest born of eight children. He was a loving father and leaves behind three children: Larry Gaña Jr. (34), Brandun Gaña (28), and Diedre Gaña (26). Six years prior to his passing he became a grandfather to Dream Josephine Saldaña. He was extremely proud of his granddaughter whom his whole world revolved around. Larry may have been quiet but there was never a doubt when he was in a room. Larry’s laugh was full bodied and infectious, and was the kind of laugh that [shrugged his shoulders]. As a rule most of us dread going to work each day, Larry was an exception. Each of his days started with a 3:00 a.m. alarm, from that moment forward he would put his head down and work as hard as possible for as long as he was allowed. If Larry saw someone in need, he would always be the first person to offer a hot meal or the shirt off his back. It is with heavy hearts that we must go on without him lighting up a room with his laugh or lending a helping hand to anyone that may be in need of one. We can all take joy in having the opportunity to have shared a part of his time here with us.
