Lauri Anne Kober's Obituary
Lauri Kober, 54, from Redwood City, died Monday, April 3. She is survived by her sons Fred, 22, and Kent, 20, her parents Herb and Anne Busboom, her brother John and her nieces and nephews. Lauri was the valedictorian of her class at Leland High School in San Jose. She was a graduate from Stanford University — a Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Industrial Engineering. She was also a Harvard Business School graduate with an emphasis in finance, Second Year Honors, and later a member of Harvard Business School Community Partners. She worked as a CFO with the SPCA of San Francisco, Stanbridge Academy, Active Desk, The Castle Group, and Providian Financial Corporation. She was on the Board of Trustees for Stanbridge Academy (2015) and Crystal Springs Uplands School (2013-2014). She was a Member of Manufactured Housing Community Council for Urban Land Institute (2004-2008). Lauri was a dedicated mother. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed cooking, hiking, bicycling, sporting events, and physical fitness.
