Kity dei Palma Black's Obituary
Kity dei Palma Black passed away too soon at age 60 at her home in Los Angeles, CA on 10/8/2020. Kity fought Stage IV metastatic breast cancer valiantly for 3 years.
Kity was born as Susan Black on 12/30/1959 in Redwood City, CA, to James & Nancy Black. She grew up in California, Washington, New Jersey, Connecticut and Ohio. She graduated from River Valley High School in Marion, OH in 1978 and attended Ohio University.
Kity had such a generous, loving heart! She enjoyed music immensely…singing, playing piano and guitar. She played the flute and xylophone in high school marching band as well. She loved Mickey Mouse and all things Disney.
Kity worked hard her whole life. She spent most of her career doing book keeping for a variety of small businesses. She was very active in the Emblems Club in Glendale, CA for many years.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy Black (Everett, WA), her sisters, Liesl (& Jim) Kershner (Maple Valley, WA), Kyra (& Dan) Anderson (Walton, KY), her Aunt Jan Black, seven cousins and many nieces and nephews. She loved being an aunt to Kayla, Ashton, Calvin, Marisa, & Colton. She also leaves behind her beloved feline companion, Tillie.
She is preceded in death by her sister Marisa, father James, and three cousins.
Services, if any, are yet to be determined. Kity will be buried with her sister, Marisa, at Skylawn Cemetery in San Mateo, CA.
