King Lung Chan's Obituary
King Lung Chan, aged 63, of Sunnyvale passed away at El Camino Hospital Mountain View on October 31, 2020.
He was born on January 15, 1957 in Guangdong China, to Beng Fein Chan and Ngan Fung Yu. His family moved to São Paulo, Brazil when he was 2 years old. There he attended international school to learn English. At 17 years old, he came to the United States where he studied chemistry and philosophy. Afterwards, he started working in the food industry as an entrepreneur. On April 7, 1985, he was married to his loving wife, Jean Ru Zhen Chan. He retired from the restaurant business early in 2004 and dedicated his time to pursuing clean energy for the environment. He continued his education with studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business, law, and metal fabrication. King has a patent for an ocean wave energy device in multiple countries.
Besides spending time with his family, King had a passion for eating, inventing, gardening, and exercising. He was a kind, loving, dedicated, intelligent, and selfless man. He touched many lives with his generosity because he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
King Lung Chan is survived by his spouse of 35 years, Jean Ru Zhen Chan, and his daughter, Lenira Chan. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached out to but never met.
A funeral will be held November 17, 2020 at 11:00AM at Skylawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
