Kiki Marrott's Obituary
Kiki Marrott – Age 102Vasiliki Fotopoulou MariotiA resident of San Francisco for the past 65 years passed away on June 1, 2018. Kiki was born to Mr and Mrs Konstantinos Fotopoulos in Tripolis, Arcadia, Greece on November 28th, 1915 and is now reunited with her beloved husband, George T. Marrott.Kiki is survived by her daughter Georgine and her husband, and as Kiki so proudly said through the past years of life, “the jewels in my crown” her son, Mark and her two grandchildren, Jason and Zoe Vasiliki.Jason and Zoe returned to the family home on Portola Drive from their studies in Ireland and at UC Berkeley, respectively, to assist Mark in the last weeks of their Yiayia’s life where the three of them brought comfort and dignity to our 102 year-old family matriarch.Kiki’s home on Portola Drive over the past 60 plus years was a social stop-over and Mecca for not only those within the Greek-American community but from her adored friends in the neigh-borhood, foreign exchange students from UC Berkeley and UC Davis as well as relatives from around the world.Kiki maintained close and constant contact with her loving and devoted relatives in Greece, France, and Madagascar – many of whom joined in celebrating her 100th birthday party at the SF Olympic Club. Love flowed freely from Greece as she was able to maintain daily visual con-tact with her nephews Harris and Kostas along with various nieces via video-chat much to her joy during her peaceful departure.Kiki was so appreciative of her cousin, Louis Preovolos, neighbors Joyce, Lin, Ricardo, Nevena and long time caregiver, GG for their devoted presence and support. She fulfilled her wish to leave us from her home while looking out at her beloved Mt Davidson with her grandchildren and constant companion, her dog, Kosmaki by her side.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to:St Anthony Foundation150 Golden Gate AveSan Francisco, CA 94102
