Kia Kashani's Obituary
For KiaOur dear Kia was a light onto himself and others, always marching to the beat of his own drum. To win his heart, all you had to do was to be yourself. His friendships were few and select, but very deep. Kia was unpretentious, genuine and authentic. He loved good food with a particular taste for old fashioned Persian cuisine and upfront with your cooking talents. He loved painting and poetry. A camera shy young man with a particular dislike for being the center of attention, while always loving a good laugh and making all the sad hearts catch a belly laugh when he could deliver it.Kia had his own signature style of painting and created them at most unexpected times yet leaving the most unexpected impacts. Talking to him was always easy – he fully engaged you effortlessly – and at times he took you to task. Kia was intelligent and a natural learner, but on his own terms. He helped and inspired many friends – and for his true friends he always showed up – either helping those struggling with obstacles and issues or just needing someone to talk to. His departure left big void that would never be filled.Kia – we love you and we miss you.
