Khoi Van Nguyen's Obituary
Nguyen Van Khoi, aged 59, died in San Jose, California on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 of lung cancer. He was born on December 1, 1957 in Vietnam, to Nguyen Thi Xui and Nguyen Van Cha.He was raised by a single mother who took care of 4 children after his dad passed away when he was three. In October 1978, he was married to Tran Thi Nhung. In Vietnam, he was the captain of a fishing boat and later became a shrimp farmer.He left Vietnam in 2009 and lived in the United State for almost 7 years. In San Jose, he worked in a school cafeteria with his oldest sister. Khoi is survived by his children Nguyen Nguyet, Nguyen Khanh, Nguyen Hang, Nguyen Mo, Nguyen Linh and grandchildren Nguyen Catherine, Nguyen Caroline, Nguyen Phat, Nguyen Vy, and Lor Hannah. His mother Xui, older sister Huong, and younger brother Can currently live in Vietnam. He also survived by his oldest sister, Ty Nguyen and her family in San Jose, California among with six nephews and five nieces. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Skylawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
