Keyvan Amir-Araghi was born on April 14, 1933 in Central Tehran where he proudly obtained his education and training. In June of 1955, he married his beloved and faithful wife, Roohi Aghassi, with whom he lived joyously for 60 years. Their union produced three sons – Kaveh, Kasra, and Kouros – all of whom he raised lovingly, attentively, and with great pride, dedication, and joy.Our father proudly served the Iranian medical community for over 55 years and was greatly respected and admired by all those who served alongside him. A generous man throughout his life, he was, until his very final days, always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked anything of him – be it a relative, a friend, or even a total stranger. Keyvan Amir Araghi was a beautiful poet who leaves behind a book of poetry cherished by his family. It was this patriarch’s love and devotion that provided the everlasting glue to unite his always close-knit family during his lifetime and beyond. The bond he created was never more palpable than when, in his final moments, all of his family stood gathered at his bedside, holding his hands, and devotedly bidding him a final farewell.Keyvan Amir-Araghi leaves behind a loving wife – Roohi Aghassi – three successful sons – Kaveh, Kasra, and Kouros – their three wives whom he whole-heartedly loved as his own daughters – Mandana, Sara, and Samira – and seven grandchildren whom he loved and cherished above all – Kiarash, Kiana, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Sheima, Kwintin, and Arvin. He left us when we all lived together affectionately and devotedly, surrounded by each other’s love and support, just as he always wanted.
