Kerry Rae Phillips' Obituary
Kerry Rae Phillips, 58, of San Mateo, CA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her two sons, a truly wonderful friend and her loving husband on October 28th, 2020.
Kerry was born to Barbara and Harry "Bud" Kunz in February of 1962 in San Mateo.
After graduating from Aragon High School, in San Mateo, she embarked on a career specializing in account management, most recently in the world of commercial insurance, culminating in a lengthy role at Professional Insurance Associates, in San Carlos, CA.
Due to an illness, Kerry was able to spend the last three years at home with her husband, thoroughly enjoying their landscaping and garden projects, a therapy unsurpassed by any available treatment.
Kerry had a profound love of dogs, and was the proud owner of several over the years, primarily rescues. She also had a natural ability with Interior Design, acting in both a professional role, and in service to her friends and family.
Kerry was very confident in every aspect of her life, especially as a wonderful mother, and an incomparable wife. She is survived by her husband, Chris Phillips, and sons Adam & Aaron van Arkel, sister Wendy Kunz, brother Dennis Kunz, uncle Jerry Kunz, many cousins, nieces and nephews, a prolific group of incredible friends, and last, but not least, her mother-in-law, Barbara Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, Kerry felt donations to the ASPCA would best suit her life's happiness.
