Kelly Anne Gradwohl's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Kelly Anne Gradwohl
July 15, 1977 – December 17, 2024
Kelly Anne Gradwohl passed away suddenly at her home in San Mateo, California. She was a beloved mother to her daughters, Korena and Amanda, a cherished sister to Lisa and Sharon, and a devoted daughter to Bernie and Dorothy. She also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews—Donovan, Heidi, Declan, Adela, and Layton—and was a loyal friend to many. Kelly had an extraordinary gift for connecting with people. She lit up every room she entered with her warm smile and infectious laughter, making friends wherever she went. Known for her generosity and thoughtfulness, she always remembered all the special days (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays) and showered others with heartfelt cards and meaningful gifts that she insisted were to be opened right away. Kelly lived life in the moment and cherished time with her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping-often returning with extra gifts, walking, camping, baseball, sewing, and spending days by the Miramar beach in Half Moon Bay, where she found peace and joy. Her creativity and love of life shone through in the fun times she shared with her nieces and nephews, especially joking with them and crafting together. Kelly was undeniably herself. Her greatest strengths in life were her two daughters Korena and Amanda. The bond all three of them shared was unbreakable. Despite her tendency to be fashionably late, whether to work at Safeway and See’s Candies or family celebrations, Kelly’s presence always brought happiness and laughter. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from the College of San Mateo and was deeply proud of her and her daughters’ accomplishments. Kelly will be remembered for her kind heart, radiant spirit, and the love she gave so freely. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Catholic service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park at noon on Monday, January 6th, followed by interment at Skylawn Cemetery.
