Kelleen Chen's Obituary
Kelleen Chen, 62 , of San Jose, CA, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, with her family by her side at Kaiser Hospital.Auntie was born Jan. 11, 1952, in Cholon Vietnam, the daughter to the late Ich Tran and Khanh Tuyet. Auntie came to America in 1981 and lived with her sister’s family ever since. Auntie worked as an electronic assembler until she retired in 2001.To auntie, her family was her life. Auntie was a loving sister, a very special aunt and a trusted friend. Her niece and nephews were the world to her and she took great pride in helping her sister and brother-in-law care for them since they were only few hours old.Auntie always had a big smile on her face but her heart is even bigger than her smile. Auntie was a very friendly and humble person; she had a quiet way caring for people. Auntie was also a teacher of life and had a passion to make a difference in the lives of people she touched. Auntie lived her life with many challenges; but she confronted and fought every challenge with dignity and pride. Auntie was an example of tenacity and perseverance. Auntie’s courageous determination and resolve had touched everyone’s life, including those who knew her by her first name.In her spare time, auntie enjoyed watching syndicated Chinese soap operas. Auntie was also an epicure and enjoyed dinning out with family and friends.We will miss auntie. We love you, auntie!Auntie is survived by her sister, Kellee Chen of San Jose, CA. Auntie is also survived by her nephews, Johnny (Jinnie) Wang, of San Jose, CA; Peter Wang, of San Jose, CA; niece, Lynn (Edwin) Rho, of Rochester, MN; great niece, Allison Wang; great nephews, Andrew and Richard Rho.
