Kazuhide Hata's Obituary
Kazuhide “Koz” Hata, born in Tokyo, Japan on May 17th, 1953, passed away peacefully in his home in Millbrae on February 8th, 2015. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Mie; his two children, Akino and Kazuaki; son-in-law, Kevin; and his two sisters, Yukiko and Yoshiko. He lived a marvelous life, constantly spreading joy and happiness to all those around him. He moved to San Francisco when he was 22 years old and fell in love with the city. He met his wife, Mie in San Francisco through a mutual friend and got married on October, 25th 1987. They had their first child, Akino, on September 1st, 1989 followed by Kazuaki, on August 30th, 1993. He loved playing sports, specifically, rugby in which he played throughout his years at Keio University in Japan. Besides playing sports, he also enjoyed watching his two favorite teams, the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. Kazuhide loved to travel, read, learn, and most importantly, spend time with his family. Kazuhide was an amazing man that will forever be remembered for his generosity, inspiration, optimism, and love. A celebration of his wondrous life will take place on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at Skylawn Memorial Park.
