Although I did not know him well, he always made me smile and laugh. He came up with jokes out of no where, and had the deepest belly laugh. His eyes sparkled like diamonds when he smiled, and his heart was always wide open. It was so easy to love him, because he always loved you back. When my sister married into the family I felt we were blessed to have joined with such genuinely kind and loving people. He was the ambassador of the family, who brought the quiet ones out of their shells. I’m sad that our time together was so short, and I will miss him always. I will remember the jungali murgi joke, and heed his warning about the shellfish. Those memories will always put a smile on my face.
