Katherine Deborah Miller's Obituary
Katherine Deborah “Debbie” Miller lived her life like every day was her last. She lovingly laid her life down for others until she passed away on August, 24th 2018. When Debbie was diagnosed with cancer over 3 years ago, she continued to serve God and devoted herself to helping others. She lived an inspiring life which made an incredible impact in so many people’s lives. Her strength in God allowed her to remain joyful and be the light she had always been to so many.Debbie’s story started on September, 18, 1950. She was the second child of Samuel Edward and Ruth “Kathy” Bartholomew’s four children. Debbie was born in Denver, Colorado. Her family moved to Merced, California shortly after she was born. She grew up in the San Joaquin Valley where she met her husband and love of her life, John Miller. They were married 43 years. They were blessed with three children and seven grandchildren. Their three children, Tracey Miller, Anthony Miller and Elizabeth Dalke were all born in Merced. Debbie and her family moved to the Bay Area in the 80’s.After moving to the Bay Area, Debbie and John founded several successful companies. Debbie’s creative and whimsical designs made their restaurant Toons, one of the most successful restaurants in the North Bay. After working in her mom’s health food store as a young adult, she found a love for nutrition. She became a certified nutritionist after graduating from Bauman College. Debbie loved life! If you knew her she wasn’t going to let you walk away without sharing the benefits of Omega 3’s or Vitamin D. Debbie also loved anything that had to do with the arts. She was and incredible artist and photographer.Debbie was the most caring and loving grandmothers to her seven grandchildren. They were the joy of her heart. In addition to her husband John Miller and their three children, those left to cherish her memory are Savanah Reese child of her daughter Tracey Miller; Lydia and Leah Miller children of her son Anthony & wife Jasmine Miller; Carter, Caden, Kinslee and Kiely Dalke children of her daughter Elizabeth & husband Jason Dalke. Also, her siblings, Judythe & husband Roy Babich, Summer, and Grant Bartholomew. Her memory will be cherished by many other family and friends she loved and adored.Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Edward and Ruth “Kathy” Bartholomew.Debbie’s smile would light up the room. She was loved by so many and will be missed. She achieved the goal of her faith, salvation. “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”Revelations 2:10A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 2pm at the Bay Area Christian Church 2525 East Bayshore Road,Palo Alto, CA 94303
